Idk what everyone is acting like trading KD & Kyrie would make the Nets a terrible bottom 5 team
Presumably they would actually get some good players in return and the East sucks
In fact it's very likely they will aim to get good players back since tanking won't do shyt for them

Nets made the playoffs before KD & Kyrie even got there with Caris LeVert & Spencer Dinwiddie as their second and third best players. It won't be that difficult to make the playoffs in that trash conference
That’s how you end up trading Kawhi for Jakob Poetl. You don’t trade for ‘win now’ players that aren’t legit stars.

And on top of that, BK as a free agent destination is now dead forever after this embarrassment… and they have no picks. And any picks you get in return will be late 20s. So whoever you trade for, that’s the team.

There are practically no teams that would trade win-now players and BK would be anything more than treadmill status.

KD is too good of a player to be remembered as someone who played for potentially 5 or 6 teams assuming he leaves BK, go to another team only to leave there after 3 or 4 years.

Shame.
