I'm not usually a fan of British comedy shows, but I used to love the "Blackadder" series. That's the only comedy show I've seen where the main characters were as hate filled and terrible as this show. Anyway, each season took place in a different historical time period, and three out of the four seasons ended with ALL of the main cast getting brutally murdered in the last episode.

I'm not sure if an American comedy will end up that dark, though.
