Obviously fake but yeah, Kenny has said lately that he’s not even a fan of wrestling anymore, whatever that means.
Someone please explain the appeal of this guy to me. I've seen a few of his NJPW matches, and I've seen him for a year in AEW. He comes off as a cornball to me. I don't get it.

TBH I didn't get him at first but his NJPW run was god tier IMO. I've seen all the big matches he had over there and he put on some real classics. He's one of the most explosive performers I've seen in a minute.
In AEW he's had some really good matches but they haven't gone all in with him and as a character he's been

He is a total cornball as a character whose lucky break was entirely dependent on AJ Styles choosing to leave NJPW.
Because of his roided up explosive workrate he could actually hang with Okada, but his real second lucky break was that fool Meltzer giving their match 6 stars (clearly coming from all the ass kissing the Elite guys). Somehow instead of laughing Meltzer out of the building marks used that 6 star nonsense to push the narrative that Omega is the best wrestler ever and Gedo saw all that newfound attention as an opportunity to grow in the US market so he kept pushing him.
Then Omega won the belt, became complacent as fukk (surprise, he got carried by Okada more than anyone likes to admit) and eventually left for AEW. He clearly got off the round and was never the same again.
Well, except that he hasn't changed from being a cornball who can't cut a believable promo to save his life.

He wasn't "carried" by Okada at all. Omega was 0-100 during those matches with a finishing pace that probably only Okada could keep up with.
