Kendrick’s trash superbowl performance is the life line Drake needed

damn. I was going to chalk it up to being in the same age range as my brother @Bryan Danielson, but i thought the performance/visual aspect of it lived up to Superbowl standards, but Kendrick's music has "room for improvement" as they say in them emails i get at work. People wanted to hear one song.

Well since you opened this door I’m gonna walk in.

One of my old coli roommates (who got paper) was at the game tonight, he was texting us in our group chat and he said the crowd was kinda dead for most of KDots performance. they only came alive when he did NLU.


But he did say “In all fairness I was sitting on the Chiefs side” so there’s that too

drake haters will act like KDot brought Pac out but the reality is his performance was mid at best.

Energy was iffy, songs that a broad ass audience doesn’t know and it sounded like he chewed a bunch of jelly beans before he came out.

Anyone thinking otherwise is a bozo.

We could’ve had a damn Cash Money reunion playing a medley of 5-6 songs everyone knows. That Juve Tiny Desk concert showed that these dudes could still move a crowd.

If kendrick fans (myself included) are being honest it wasnt very good....I get its a diff stage but compared to the pop out it was straight up bad

Breh the Kendrick fans won’t admit it but at least you’re being honest. This performance was something that looks like it would’ve been cool as something filmed, directed, edited in a soundstage and then properly pushed out as a little mini promo.

It just didn’t work live and dude clearly can’t handle a big ass stadium full of people that aren’t his core fans.

You look at old videos of Queen, Michael Jackson, RHCP, The Eagles, Prince, Elton John, etc., these artists made legit anthems for 30-50,000+ venue crowds and did it with bands. You don’t just do this type of thing with playback of your track and songs that can’t rock the house.

My thing is, UMG should really just pay drake out at this point. I mean, they have to feel shame at some level for this.

Performance was fine. Audio was bad. Rap in stadiums are a mixed bag. Also not the best choice of song selection.

On another note:

Drake stans. HE STILL LOST. ITS BEEN OVER.

There is no comeback for Drake. This is not a victory for ya'll.

compared to which super bowl performance do you think this was good? to be good, it has to be compared to previous superbowl performances. thats the bar, thats the hype. Id love to hear your thoughts on which super bowl performances this was better than.. you have decades to choose from, so should be easy, right ?

kbot stans cant process that in their mind this might be a good performance, but it was ass for super bowl. Easily the worst super bowl performance I can recall in my 37 years of life.

Not comparing it to shyt I just enjoyed the show

just look at how many people had their cell phones out with their lights on recording compared to any previous super bowl performance where the audience is actually into the performance

The performance definitely was great. Visuals were great, breath control, no backtracking, good energy. He showed artistry imo. He also performed his most popular songs.
