Looking back, everyone he mentioned has achieved musical greatness. Platinum sales, quality music, and/or critical acclaim

KRIT and Cole are my favorite two but everyone else is apart of the Blog Era's greats

Jay Elec should've dropped a solo project but his talent is undeniable. Arguably had the best verse off that whole song

Drake was the only rapper who reacted like a child instead of keeping it rap

Kenny tucked a sensitive rapper back in his pajama clothes
:wow:

He's been sending subs ever since. Drake even had a ESPN interview with Marcellus Wiley scrubbed that would've made Control this generation's Takeover
:lupe:

Rap was in a great place once Control dropped. There were alot of elite response tracks from rappers not listed

Lupe had my favorite but Joell, Joe Budden, and many more brought it to Kendrick

What a time for hip hop

I hate Kendrick threads on TheColi only cause of how disrespectful people are towards him :scust:

To keep it on topic tho, he was brave to do what he did. Especially at a time where calling people out by name in rap didn't seem like the cool thing to do. He didn't say anything crazy, he just basically did a cool heat check on his peers.
