Personally, I'm glad he made an album like this only cuz I'm not expecting many to make an album that has this kinda sound. Different music for different vibes.

I actually like how he's using the story he's telling to hopefully pay off by the end of the album.

yeah its nice to get a change up. the real greats are those that step outside the box. thats why i always give props to kanye because hate him or love him none of his albums sound the same. drake is running the game right now but all his music sounds the same. and everybody is trying to be like drake so they are all making the same music. kendrick went straight to left field with this one, i appreciate that, especially since it sounds good so far
