You already took it seriously by responding.

I've heard enough of Kendrick's "supposedly great" material to judge him. Dude is ass.

y'all actually think these are hot rhymes? :deadmanny:

fukking :trash:!

hype was incredible, wasn't it? Interscope's got deep ass pockets for bloggers.

Thanks for sharing. *goes back to playing the album*

popular? among who?

and why do you care if it's popular or not? because you're a pop fan disguising yourself as a 'hip hop head?'

Sorry homie. shyt's trash. I haven't listened to Young Thug's Barter 6. I've heard enough to conclude it's garbage. Same with Kendrick.

Selective outrage ass nikkas :mjlol: You probably think Lil B is trash, and you've only heard like 2 songs of his. Meanwhile he's a far more complex artist to understand than Kendrick (I can't wait for one of you to highlight this part with an mjsmiley and ignore the rest of my post), and understanding Lil B's appeal actually requires listening to the wide variety of stuff he does. I've actually heard a big chunk of Ducktales' discography. Dude sucks across the board, and TPAB is even worse than GKMC.

aside from all that shyt flinging
if you actually heard tpab, why are you saying you haven't a few posts above? :jbhmm:
to troll? :jbhmm:
and if you didn't, how can you say it's trash? :jbhmm:

either way, smells like some trolling snobbery and that you are not to be taken seriously when it comes to Kendrick. :jbhmm:

are you really this confused?

I haven't heard it IN FULL. how hard is this to understand? I've heard most of the tracks in parts. Start listening but had to skip or move on because of how basura they were.

I heard Section80 the day it dropped because of the stupid hype. Same with GKMC. And I've heard some of Overly Dedicated.

It's not like I don't understand Kendrick. I get exactly what he's about. He's about :trash:

and my point is that I've given him much more of a chance than most of y'all have given ASAP Rocky and Lil B. Yet your outrage is selective.

Wonder why that is :jbhmm:

Question: Why do you post so much about Kendrick if you don't like him?

I usually lurk the booth but I can count of seeing you making more posts than the average Dot stan, leading the anti-Dot brigade in pro-Dot threads.

IDK maybe it's me but I don't consistently discuss artists I don't like.

you heard most of it but you're posting you haven't at all only to switch it up when someone repeats that you haven't heard it. :jbhmm:
and then bring up unrelated artist like lil b and asap rocky. :jbhmm:
I don't think you're talking about me when you say "confused", friend. :jbhmm:

That's your imagination. I rarely post about Kendrick in comparison to all the other stuff I post.

It just so happens that my Kendrick posts catch more attention because...well.... Duckworth stans are insecure. Trust me. I've shytted on NUMEROUS artists on the Coli. Their stans neg me and call me names. But NONE are as insecure as Duckworth stans.

I think you need to revisit what was actually said versus what you're making up in your head:

Still haven't heard this album in full and I doubt I'll ever get to it. I've heard bits of most of the songs. straight :trash:

This was my first post. It is VERY clear that I've heard some of TPAB. What part of this is hard to understand?

geez....:snoop:

The only thing switching up is your mental gymnastics.

and then bring up unrelated artist like lil b and asap rocky. :jbhmm:
I don't think you're talking about me when you say "confused", friend. :jbhmm:

Aside from the fact that you're overdoing it with the jbhmm smiley, it's sad that you Kendrick stans prove me right every time: Y'all pretend to be bright but actually can't understand basic arguments.

My point about Lil B and ASAP Rocky was to explain the concept of 'selective outrage'. The type that comes about when someone says: "well you haven't heard all their discog, how can you judge them?"

You and others on the Coli shyt on artists for much less. But suddenly I'm the guy who can't judge Kendrick well enough despite listening to most of his celebrated catalog?

Y'all so bright but so dumb. Tell me again how "King Kunta" is a socio-political study of the innerworkings of semi-Black linguistic consciousness :russ:

bits are what?
Intros?
you're making it a point to let others know you haven't listened to the whole album but when the fact that you haven't listened to the whole album invalidates your critisism, now listening to "bits" of songs is the same hearing the whole project

did you really set up bait in a TPAB thread to argue about lil b and asap rocky? The stannery.:wow:

only a stan would assume it automatically 'invalidates' criticism.

Judging music isn't that hard. If you've been listening to hip hop long enough, you can tell within seconds if a song has a beat you'll enjoy or not. I've read the supposedly-deep lyrics of these Kendrick songs and didn't see anything intriguing.

Nice try.

Just wondering why someone would even bother posting about an artist you don't like at all breh, don't matter to me who the artist is. If it's for trolling purposes tho, go ahead an cook. :salute:

The deflection :wow:
it was a concept album with a running theme and specific parts that are meant to be listened in full to feel the full purpose of the album, but somehow you just picking at it randomly to get an idea of it makes for a nice and thorough review that takes all things into consideration :jbhmm:

but I guess a rocky stan can't understand the concept of an album with a point or a purpose

"Concept album" = pseudo-intellectual masturbation.

Every hip hop album has some sort of concept/theme in there, dummy. Even Live.Love.ASAP (peep the title) had a loose concept of striving and hoping for better.

But idiots need it spelled out: THIS IS A CONCEPT ALBUM ABOUT RACE IN AMERICA :mjlol:

Pretentious lames use that "concept" bullshyt as a crutch for shytty music. Illmatic, Ready to Die, Cuban Linx, Supreme Clientele, etc... are all concept albums. But most importantly, they just sound amazing.

TPAB sounds like a light breeze stuck inside a :trash:

all this because you want to be an authority on all hip hop but don't wanna take the time to objectively listen to music by people you aren't particularly a fan of

this is a pointless back and forth, I can't strip a music snob of his unwarrented self importance :francis:
