OD/Section 80 Kenny>>>>>>>>>>GKMC Kenny>>>>>>>>C4 Kenny>>>>>>>>Kungfu diet Lupe Kenny

ok so it's not just me here, i cosign this 100 % man.... you couldn't tell me shyt about kendrick when i was bumpin OD/Section 80. hiii power, rigamortis, ignorance is bliss, average joe, fukk your ethnicity, reagan era (welcome to vigilante!), poe man's dreams, hol' up.. he was giving me illmatic nas feels man seriously

then GKMC dropped and yeah he was still nice but his bars nor his music in general was at the elite level of the other two projects, but the people loved it! so ok i was happy for k dot but then as his career progressed i just wasn't getting that same level of rhymes. DNA is cool but can it really hold a candle to poe man's dreams? nah lol no way and he's now a pulitzer prize winning artist so something tells me he'll never go back to his 2011-12 material, beats, or way of rhyming which i find really sad. i still support and root for the brother though

and how could i forget to mention look out for detox? god he was special :ohlawd:

I think his most dense lyrical material is TPAB/untitled unmastered era. Track 2, momma, blacker the berry, you ain’t gotta lie, track 1, mortal man, how much a dollar cost, track 8 etc.

If DAMN/Black Panther SDTRK/recent guest features are any indicator of where’s he at and going it seems like he peaked.

ok to pimp a butterfly is pretty dope, mortal man especially makes no sense. i guess i'm going a bit far acting like k dot ain't about shyt post 2011 but i just prefer his swag on the first two projects

damn had it's moments too even with the lesser bars, that alchemist joint fear for instance was cooked crack. but lord help me that black panther soundtrack ain't whoa at all. hopefully he gets back to form

The thing that made OD/Section 80 Kenny special was the fact that it felt fresh and different. It was a throwback to how west coast rappers got down with a bit of futuristic swag to the mix. Most folks hated his weird voices during his earlier days but it felt true to his style. Honestly, his music got soulless after GKMC, which is strange because TPAB had every aspect of black music in it but it lacked honesty.

@Zero seems people are starting to finally come around to it:lolbron:

but seriously, yeah thats basically it, imo his best and only worthwhile project is GKMC. So in my eyes TPAB till now have all been lack luster:yeshrug:

Money trees, art of peer pressure, sing about me, Maad city, poetic justice >>>>>> any group of songs you can muster from those other albums

barwise/yrically his S. 80 self is better. But his GKMC saga was not as bad lyrically as he is now. He still was able to do his little thing. Like on Nostelgia and his verse on YG's "I really be"

but him now in both quality and verses is :scust: ya boi has regressed compared to what he was years ago

even these "Hearts" show it in how Heart 2 and 3 show how much better he was compared to this DAMN saga(hEART 4) of himself

lol yeah kendrick gets criticism for the weird voices but i find that it's common in his later work too. personally i don't mind those vocal experimentations but i can see how it could be off putting for some...

if you feel like explaining further, why you think TPAB lacked honesty?
