I guarantee that if Kendrick keeps dropping music like this... his career won't stay on the upward trajectory it has been.

That's the first thing that came to my mind even when I first saw that "Untitled" performance.

Then I thought it again when I read a recent article on his strong Christian faith...

The powers that be in the music industry will not let him get too big... because their primary aim is to spread negativity through music and the media.

You'll notice that the majority of post 2000 music (especially pop, what's left of R&B and hip hop) rarely has an empowering message... it mostly pushes sex, drugs, murder, hate, self-worship and materialism.

We've seen it happen before... watch, it will happen again.

i disagree.....i dont think he has anything to worry about career wise cause there are signs of a new day dawning in the industry...some of the politics are changing due a couple reasons....1) we (blacks) are starting to get in some of those key spots in the industry, which is allowing us to get more say so in the type of music we put out....what we can put out isnt being dictated to us by old white men as much as it used to be....2) we are getting a better understanding of the business side...which means we wont get hustled into bad deals/signing our lives away to do whatever by the suits as much....3) artists are starting to realize some of the power they have...so if they are a big enough/emerging star, he/she can say 'i want to release this kinda song' and it aint shyt the record label can really do about it....

Dope track:ehh:
Its too bad the masses will take one or two lines to use against us when these topics come up.

Its too bad because these are the types of songs and topics we should be discussing-- IN HOUSE-- and not out in the open for them to judge and continue to tell us how were the problem

And the boom bap beats goes with the lyrics in which he's rapping. It has shyt to do with Joey Badass. And just because you have boom bap in your beat does not mean you're trying to be from New York.

Lets not get excited and try to turn this into some type of accomplishment for Joey Badass.

joey badass has substance in his music without coming off like a try-hard. kendrick just makes stupid voices like he's being passionate but its sounds stupid.

lol

What substances does Joey Badass have that comes close to this or any other song Kendrick made; especially those from GKMC. What songs has he made that sparked debates like these ones? Try-hard? This how Kendrick Lamar usually raps. :snoop:

Again lets not get excited for Joey Badass.
