It is clown makeup, and that plus the 4th of July reference (red/white/blue) seems to be what everyone sees, but from the moment I saw the video the first time it stuck out to me that it's on only half of each of their faces.

Drake is famous for that blackface picture and Kendrick has taken shots at him being half white. How is it a coincidence that all of the dancers have half their face painted white?
