You just proved everything that’s off about this whole trend of over-analyzing lyrics like that.
I know perfectly well what a typological number is. Just because something’s symbolic doesn’t mean it adds depth when it’s repeated without context. How would you feel if they just wrote “perfection” on a few walls in the video? What does that even contribute? I would’ve actually appreciated it if the number had meaning within the context of the song. Even if Kendrick had won seven Grammys for this album, I might’ve let it slide—but honestly, the 6 is the more relevant number here anyway.
