I don't trust Billboard metrics. Taylor sells out stadium tours! When I saw Drake at Scotia Arena the upper seats most of them were closed down and empty.

Kendrick and friends was packed, on "film".

Has anyone been to a Kendrick show here? Be honest - was is packed or not?
Yes. I went to the Mr Morale show in Philly. Packed.

Caught a show when he was touring “DAMN”. shyt was outdoors and STILL over capacity. Everybody, old and young, knew all the songs for songs from previous albums.

I'm surprised Micheal Jackson isn't on the list off Thriller alone
Don't be. Streaming has changed everything so much that we shouldn't even compare billboard pre-streaming to billboard post-streaming.

Yesteryear albums released singles in orderly fashion through a months or year long rollout of singles. The album might only officially release and push 4 or 5 singles, vs now where the entire album can count as a single. Nowadays albums all chart the week of, and if its anticipated enough the entire album could chart, but they also usually fall right off the charts within a week or 2 unless the album is a hit, hit. True came and went music.

If streaming existed back in the day then yeah, the entire Thriller album would have debuted top 10, same with all of those albums that did a million+ first week, like Eminem, N'Sync, Basktreet Boys, Usher, Lil Wayne, etc.

But the way we count sales via streaming now is why all of the records are going to belong to streaming-era artists.

He got the bangers and hits this time. Luther is gonna be massive. Could easily hit #1 the following week, or later this month as radio comes in.

My only question is do they step on this by dropping again? Letting these tracks ride seems like the move. If he drops again I think it’ll be closer to the Super Bowl.

Been to 6 kendrick shows, included the previous one (arena tour), and it was always packed lol.

Kendrick's next tour is confirmed to be a stadium tour.

Also, he had the best selling rap tour of all time just before Drake

Dope. Looks like all facts point to him being hella official.

Hows the album?
I like it more than Mr.Morale if that means anything. I'm picky as fukk with music and I still find myself nodding saying "Squabble up" :mjlol:

I don't compare Drake, Kendrick, or damn near any artist right now to those of the past because they were actually selling records. None of this new shyt is real. Only artist that sells records is Taylor Swift.
