I'm sorry I can't muster up the fukks to give about Lecrae. Dude is an agent. He's coming into hip hop as "the guy with the Jesus message", aka a preacher. Not as an artist. And it has little to do with his choice of religion and expression of it. It has to do with his purpose/angle. DMX was always talking about God but he came into hip hop as a hip hop lover. You can feel it in his music. He just wants to be dope. And he rapped about other shyt from interesting angles (ATF, Stop Being Greedy, How Its Goin Down, etc)
If your boy Lecrae was really serious and honest about hip hop, he'd be a good rapper on some level and be part of the culture. But he's not. Dude's flat out trash. I've never heard a song from dude that isn't a poor imitation of whatever is the popular sound with Jesus slapped on top of it. Which is so typical of Christian artists. Basically he's co-opting hip hop to sell White Jesus, and that's agent behavior.
