Kendrick Lamar is the greatest lyricist of the 2010s. No one else comes close.

Kendrick is a phenomenal artist but its not his lyrics that make him great.

Its the fact he knows how to put it all together thematically.

From the cover art to to the videos and visuals to the beats to the themes.

It all forms one cohesive vision

Kendrick is more of a artist than fans give him credit for.

His "lyrics" may actually be the weakest part of his overall toolkit.

I cant quote many Kendrick lamar bars but I can always tell you the overall message of each project.

Absolutely, there's no way its anyone else, maybe if Jay Elect didnt count as 00s I'd say him but its Kdot

There's Earl, Mach Hommy, Benny. Roc, Ka, etc but Kenny got them all in song writing and maybe even pure rapping ability and bars @ Rigamortis

I don't know about THE GREATEST but one of the best this past decade by a landslide.

Lines like "this orphanage we call a ghetto" hit ten thousand fukkin times harder than some goofy
word play/punchline that ultimately serves fukking nothing and doesn't add to the albums meta narrative.

The amount of time and care put into this guys albums/songs is the reason his supposed betters are where they're
at and he's where he's at.
