I think Drake's catalog is great too. He's not doing like Kendrick where all his shyt basically is critically acclaimed but he's put out good music and has his fingerprints all over hip hop with all his features. If you saw the concert he did with Nas dude performs features as if they were his very own songs.

So Far Gone
is a classic mixtape, IMO Take Care is a classic album although people may disagree, Comeback Season is one of the greatest indy mixtapes I ever heard. Thank Me Later, Nothing Was The Same, Room For Improvement and his latest tape are all solid. Great unreleased catalog (Club Paradise, 5 AM in Toronto, 9 AM in Dallas, Free Spirit, etc.) and his features on point too like I said.

It's been the opposite for me, most people I've talked to aren't really feeling it :mjcry:

I get your point about It Was Written though maybe the OP was a bit of an overstatement

Different artists....Kendrick will fair better and have more longevity due to taking his time between releases and also his ability to experiment with his sound.

Malleability plus no saturation

exactly what I was thinking about... I can't name a lot of rappers who dropped 3 masterpieces in a row

he already has an all time great catalog. One of the most consistent discographies in hip hop
