Yeah, this is AOTY, likely to be my AOTD eventually. Maybe I'm saying it too early (only my third listen), but this is a serious improvement over an already excellent debut (Section.80).

Depends. Many of the supposed [CDQ] tags are added to 192kbps rips, sometimes they go as low as 128-160 kbps. It usually is used to note that it isn't a radio rip, it's just ripped directly from the original source. Smaller file-sizes generally circulate faster, but with more people investing in 15mbps+ connections, it's starting to really get outdated. a 1TB external HD isn't too expensive these days either, so really this entire idea of lossy compression is getting kind of pointless.

Closest you can get to "true" CDQ is loss-less compression as in FLAC or ALAC.


This album is excellent, but I can't really get into the last track. I'm just going to replace it with "The Recipe".

FLAC will probably become the norm in a few years when super fast connections are affordable. it will depend on if itunes or someone else comes to the table tho

a young K.dot met a chick named serene. earlier that day, he borrowed his mother's caravan and was kicking it with his friends who were a negative influence with him. they planned on robbing a house they were staking out for a while, while in the meantime was getting high and spitting freestyles in the vehicle. they home invaded the house and almost got caught because someone was there. they escaped, feared the police was tailing them, his mother called, and he replied he was merely kicking it (lying), then after nearly escaped his 1st arrest was dropped off to see serene whole his homies going to pick him back up a few hours later, little did he know he was going get jumped by two hooded n*ggaz, to which was implied (and confirmed by his friends later on) that serene set k. dot up... his boys came back to pick him up, heated... when to get some drank and got motivated for the retaliation. they did a driveby in which one of k. dot's friend's brother got shot. that whole entire DAY from his near arrest, getting jumped, and his friend getting killed WOKE his eyes up to the world that he's living in, and decided to change his path...

ALL OF THIS WAS IN THE ALBUM.. all u have to do is LISTEN. no interpretation at all about it.

This is somewhat right. Everything happend on the same day except for him meeting Sherane. K.dot said he met her at a house party in el sugando and have been txtin her for a min.

Him and his friends wasnt riding around in the van. "Me and my nikkas 4 deep in a white toyota" At the end of the song they say they gonna drop K.dot back to his moms van so he could go hit sherane. The last skit on the album is K.dot gettin dropped off and tellin his moms he takin the van and he'll be back in 15. He got stuck in traffic on the way to Sherane crib which is why his moms called about needing the van

Overall this is a near flawless album

I give it 4.5/5 only because this is still fresh and ill wait to see how it sounds a few months from now.........BIISH

Smh at blackboy fly not being on the album but weak tracks like real backstreet freestyle compton etc dont belong in the bushes?. Idgaf about the story these tracks are and doesn't enhance it
