Dying of thirst![]()
True classic. Impact already being seen in Hip Hop due to artists using skits on their upcoming albums and Game even trying to make a concept album nowwith a religious theme
and also a similar album cover.
Anyone else notice this is the first album to have songs get radioplay that aren't even or haven't been released as singles yet. The only time I remember that happening was back in the mid 90's with pac's shyt and a few other artists.

I'm not saying there isn't some behind the scenes push by "the machine" but then there's been other artists that have been on major labels too.
I know for a fact I've heard money trees, bytch don't kill my vibe and poetic justice (before it's released as a single) on the radiocharts don't only count radioplay, but number of singles purchased
there's a good chance none of those songs were ever played on the radio.

because of itunes/amazon allowing you to buy single songs
high sales = high single sales the first week
Everyone I've played money trees too loves that song including chicks that only listen to the radio. They need to make that a single. This album gets better and better in my opinion. Parts are referenced and re-referenced throughout. Like a book. Only misstep for me is backseat freestyle. Conceptually it fits but it's just not such a great song. Money trees is the best hip hop song I've heard in a long time. Overall he elevated what a hip hop album could be. Definition of a classic.
Not that I respect the source, but did they rate it yet? Wondering what they gave it.
