I wish his delivery was better for I'm dying of thirst. That beat... :wow:

I also wish the intro wasn't so underwhelming and the hook for "real" wasn't so damn awful/annoying.

I really enjoy the vibe of the album.

dude might not do great numbers with this first album but I got a feeling he gonna blow up to kanye levels on his next one. just in the last week his hype as multiplied greatly. and after all the acclaim finishes coming in for the album I see him turning into a rockstar. his peers are already lookin at him like he's a genius. dude went against the grain. while all these artists are too scared to drop a REAL album...and fillin up their albums with watered down bullshyt tryin to cater to teeny boppers and b*tches, yet still floppin...kendrick did it how all the legends in the past did...just making quality fukkin music. and he's getting all the praise he deserves.

he raised the bar back up...he put every rapper on notice. now they know they gonna have to bring something on this same level. hopefully this inspires the competitive nature to come out in some of these artists and we get more great albums because of it. hip hop needs another golden age. I think that's what made the 90's so special...everybody was droppin classics and they forced eachother to be great. nobody wanted to be the first to drop a weak album. and that's whats been missin from hip hop imo. to me, this is the first true classic album since supreme clientele. kendrick made me proud to be from the west. but all in all, I think all hip hop heads period should be proud. no matter where you from I think everybody can relate to this album and appreciate just how great it is. this shyt is special. I don't give a fukk what anybody says.

So its safe to say that if this album receives 5 mics and XXL (regardless of the legitimacy and validity of these two publications), its a certified *future* classic?

i dont know if he will blow up to that point, think he'll reach that nas/jeezy/ross type level at best. Big in rap, known but not huge outside of it

he could reach the illmatic/it was written type of popularity if he really brings it next go around

Yeah, read more closely

Mixed by Dr. Dre AND Ali
In my opinion, the Ali exclusively mixed tracks (Backseat Freestyle, The Art of Peer Pressure, Money Trees, mAAd city, Sing About Me I'm Dying of Thirst, Black Boy Fly :mjpls:) sounded way better than Dre's mixes.

Breh, if you have Dr. Dre working together with you dropping little gems and advice and his own input on mixing the songs, I'm sure it would sound a little better. Besides, its obvious this was an Ali production, Dre has a much more heavy hitting style and emphasis on the drums/bass

im not talking about the beats im talkin about the MIXING of each song.im listening to the album with top of the line headphones and notice all the songs dre help mix sound more round 3dish.if you got good headphones you can clearly hear what im talking about.damn dont argue wit me man just step your quality game up.
