well technically hes on every track on black panther.

i just really like it for its diversity in sounds. even if he might not have full verses on everything

Can’t put it over GKMC or TPAB those are generational, genre shifting masterpieces that have only grown in prestige over the years. Those are his Illmatic/It Was Written 1-2 punch that signified the birth of a new legend.

Good Kid M.A.A.D City STILL sounds fresh today. Nothing about it is dated.

my only issue with TPAB and it's stupid is that it's too perfect. You can tell everyone worked really hard on the delivery of every line, the writing has no filler etc.

Something about that just makes it hard to relisten to, its never very "raw". I know its a stupid critique. I feel the same way about Big Fish Theory. Can't really put my finger on it. Kendrick during the TPAB era is the greatest rap artist ever, really on that perfectionist shyt

I've seen a lot of musicians say they didn't like it (because they don't like rap) but admitted it was flawless

Agreed. It’s above DAMN but beneath TPAB and GKMC for sure for me.

TPAB’s greatness cannot be overstated. Special album.
