Upon listening to this album all day I can tell he made this album recently. Like a few months ago type of recently. Apprently he got the beat for “GNX” literally a few days ago. So he was working till the final minute.
This shyt legit plays like a mixtape. There is no “concept” like his previous works. The Mexican singer can play as the “narrator” of this project. But there was no main “theme” that ties the album together.
He made this album to get this out his system. This kinda reminds me of Eminem’s “Kamikaze” album where he is addressing everybody that felt a way about how he handled the battle.
This album also had shots at Drake and his entire crew through out the entire project. “Hey Now,” “Peekaboo,” “TV Off” and “GNX” are clear examples of that.
The fact he had the lil homies on there with him is letting Aubrey know that he has back up on stand by if anybody wants to get cute. Kendrick lowkey wants this shyt too keep going and he is BEGGING Aubrey to say something else.
I also feel “Man At The Garden” is his response to Cole’s “Port Antonio.”
Overall i REALLY fukks with this…”Luther” and “Gloria” are beautiful records. And “The Heart Pt. 6” is a nice send off on the TDE chapter of his career.
In my eyes he is 6/6 when it comes to albums.
And the fact that he may not even be done is

It would maybe give credence to people speculating this could be a two part project. Partly because there was two GNX'S in the teaser video. Kendrick is usually intentional with things like that.
To me this project feels like a continuation of the Kenny and friends popout show. His thank you to the homies and city for supporting him. And then we get his masterpiece. Kendrick is very meticulous with his albums. Way too meticulous to put some of these features on em
.....even schoolboy and absoul have never made one of his albums. I think Kendrick is gearing up to go on a crazy run. He's in his 96 Tupac era right now. Seems like the whole team is on call 24/7 right now. Kendrick has the hunger back Between this, TV Off and the intro for me. Love how direct he was at the Superbowl shyt and Snoop.
