I grew up on East Coast rap. My dad was playing Public Enemy and Ready to Die growing up.
My cousin was playing Pun, Canibus, X, and Wu Tang

I'm not a fan of West Coast rap

Ice on the Budden podcast said he got a text from someone on the westcoast telling him that this isn't the album.

Make of that what you will. But as a Kendrick Stan I do believe this will go down as a mixtape. Too many interpolations and remakes. He essentially used pacs exact beat. That's never been Kendricks style. Even the title sounds mixtapish. Feels more like this is just setting the stage for the main event. But this is an all time appetizer
