Music don't need to be exciting just for it to be good

You type like a 14 yr old girl
Ehh, yea you can find good music, but music is hella niche now. Not a lot of artists and projects can have this many people interested, so of course when the last of the true superstars got some shyt poppin, it makes message boards and socials more interesting since there’s more people to discuss with.

I had an open mind from 2016 till like 2018 and I will try to listen to all of the new kids, but they are just so trash.

I really used to enjoy a little Uzi’s music, but he fell off and I loved Xxx music, but of course he passed away.

Kodak Black is cool, but he stays in trouble all the time and they don’t put care into albums anymore.

I used to like 21 Savage but if you heard one verse, you heard them all

Not exciting or interesting

How did you feel about Kendrick’s last album?
I like Mr Morale a lot. Was my favorite album of 2022. Ramona Park, Forever Story and Survivors Remorse were all dope too.

Yeah as far as younger rappers none are that interesting to me. I don't know why, but I definitely feel it's a cultural problem. There's no rapper out there right now doing what most rappers were doing during the blog era, everybody has their own focus. Either going super hard making mainstream music so they can't rap for shyt or super lyrical to where nobody ever playing their music in public. It seems like everything is so extreme, there's very few younger well rounded artists nowadays. Even JID's like fukking 31.

Yeah on one hand im glad niche rappers can have great careers now but I need more mainstream lyricism

I’d be shocked if we don’t get a response by Saturday at the least. Kendrick been wanting this battle since 2014. Drake and his writers have FINALLY stepped up to the plate. Cole bowed down and accepted that he was never meant to be number 1. Ross is making jokes but keeping it on IG. Future ain’t said shyt. The stage is set. All eyes are on these two and these two ONLY.

Kendrick’s gotta have a song and most importantly a STRATEGY ready to go. Forget Beyonce. Forget Taylor Swift. The rap world has taken center stage in a way it hasn’t in a few years. This is the moment Kendrick has said he’s been waiting for. Lets go

Personally I don't even care about the timeline, we all know it's coming soon-ish so no rush. And I'm excited because he actually has people in his circle who know how to handle this shyt. I brought up Meek previously but like...we don't have to worry about Kendrick dropping a diss that gets ripped off the internet due to a sample clearance issue. We don't have to worry about a sloppy diss. I'd imagine Punch is involved. Wouldn't be stunned if he's talked to Nas or Jay. Wouldn't be stunned if he's talked to Young Guru.

Before Nas dropped Ether he talked to Rakim and got advice. It takes a smart MC to do that and I def think Kendrick is like that. Also gonna be a contrast between him and Drake because I'd bet the only people he's talking to are ghostwriters.

Mr Morale was so good and relatable. It’s crazy that many dislike it but maybe that’s how they feel about it compared to DAMN. Idk. I love it though.

Kendrick already knows Aubrey has a diss ready to drop so he knows he gotta have multiple disses in the chamber. It's obvious what drake's plan is. So even though Kendrick gotta have a few disses ready, this next one still has to be so vulgar that it forces BBL to go back to the drawing board and rework the current song he has ready. Dot's next track gotta be hard but also some shyt that's gonna have the masses going crazy. K dot going up against a whole machine and he gotta approach it with that mentality. Leave no stone unturned.

I might be the only person who is fine with Kenny dropping something 1-2 months from now.

We’re really spoiled with having 24/7 access to everything.

Also I didn’t know that part about Nas talking to Rakim before dropping Ether :ehh:

:ohhh:

"test the waters, test the waters" - Jada Kingdom

everything about this beef been nasty work and I've been vindicated for what i said years ago that it would be the worst beef mainly because of how genuinely pathetic their fanbases are. two sides of the same coin.

and the constant moving of goal posts is funny now that the one that had a team of artists going at him is trying to dictate things

If you want the crown, or want to secure the crown...it makes sense to talk to the men who had it at one point. Kendrick has been prodding for this moment for a decade. I'm gonna assume he knows exactly what he wants to do and has run it past multiple people he trusts. Plus him and Nas got the same manager, plus there was that rumor that Nas (and Jay) are on his upcoming album. It all lines up IMO.
