Yea he's not a top tier lyricist and hasn't been since at least section 80 to me. He has songs here and there where he almost reach that tier, but he often ends up short of that standard. He doesn't make bad music but when I think of kendrick nowadays I don't even look for lyrics. And yea savior was probably his best song lyrically on morale
