Nah, people do this with Kenny a lot. Seems like ever since the emergence of Genius.com and all of the scholarly think pieces people are overthinking his lyrics a good deal.
Honestly, this is not unique to just Kendrick, I feel a good deal of artist like Nas, Wu-Tang, especially the Wu have people analyzing their lyrics under a microscope.
