Damn. Is an outstanding album.

Just listened again.

Very cohesive but very diverse at the same time.

It has something everyone can enjoy without comprising the sound

it's no surprise to me that Alchemist had the best beat on this album with FEAR, didn't even notice 9th produced Duckworth which makes it that much . Barely copped the album on friday along with the Ross, gonna keep listening to DAMN. it's one of these albums that you gotta listen multiple times before you have an honest opinion on it. After a few listens, this is better than TPAB, Only thing that doesn't top GKMC is that GKMC is easily digestable and you get the point within 2 listens, which after all is what makes a GREAT ALBUM A CLASSIC, Songs that get straight to the point with their content. This one forces you to think about it for a minute which is cool if you're a fan of those type of albums like i am, but for the most part, Not everyone will see it that way. GOD is another track as well. I'll keep listening to this over the week

His thoughts on TPAB and Kendrick riding the fence was off to me. It's interesting to see him praise the most ignorant/violent verse on the entire DAMN project in XXX yet hate on Blacker The Berry. When both deal with inner struggle and contradiction. The "gang banging kill a nikka blacker than me...hypocrite" line is more a directed line towards Kendrick than the audience. I mean for him to spit about the system and white supremacy in two hard poignant verses yet may have been an accessory to murder in his past life makes that line pretty real and deep.
