Off of my first listen and I'm blown away. The most impressive thing about this dude is how he manages to make such cohesive albums. This album didn't need skits to tell a story and have a theme running throughout. And he continues doing it while presenting a fresh sound every time. Too many standouts to really name just one, but Duckworth is really sticking with me, obviously partly due to the fact it's the last song I listened to. The few features he has on here are done very well. Hearing some of these tracks is gonna throw some nikkas off, especially coming off of TPAB, but shyt like LUST. and LOVE. really do work stylistically with the rest of the album. GOD. through me off, but by the end of that track I was felling it. That one is gonna be divisive as far as sound goes. The U2 track caught me by surprise in the best way possible. And Kendrick is spitting on this album, no matter what anyone says. This dude is special. To think you can play Kendrick Lamar EP, Overly Dedicated, Section.80, Good Kid Maad City, To Pimp a Butterfly and now DAMN. in succession and genuinely feel like each one improves on the previous while still being very good to classic pieces of work on their own is crazy to me
