They’re not on the same level so it would never happen but I feel like JID would give him a good run. He’s a fantastic rapper and it’s way tougher to pull smut on him because he isn’t an A-List or even B-List celebrity. Drake is almost too easy of a target because of all the nasty shyt on his jacket, whereas Kendrick maintains a relatively private life.

Kendrick is way better at conceptual albums, tying songs together, making music that captures the societal collective. Basically all the stuff that got him a Pulitzer.

But when we get to just rapping? JID and I don’t think it’s that close.

Who knows but it wasn't like he was actually ducking the smoke and more so asking for it for a period of time. Subliminal or not it was obvious who he kept rapping about.

And if those element bars were gonna be it for Sean then I completely understood why he cut him. "you finally famous because who you date, not how you rap" is wild considering how much praise and fame he got off rap. Ariana didn't give him that.
