I'm picking Spence but let's not sell Brook short. Only thing that concerns me about Brook is how healed his eye is. Spence on the other hand while for me has passed the "Eye Test" this for him is a leap in competition from Algieri. Brook brings a lot more to the table than most think and Brook himself isn't a small Welter but Im wondering also if he makes the weight without any issues after coming in almost full 160 for the GGG fight. I'm happy for Spence though getting his 1st World Title shot but I got a feeling it's gonna be a good fight and not a Spence white wash.

This..brook is a very skilled fighter...he can outbox Spence..the only x factor is that orbital and how well it's healed...that made him a slight favorite instead of a clear favorite for me...I really wish he didn't take that GGG fight:francis:

if it goes the distance, spence will not win this shyt..he's going to have to KO him
GGG stopped him, but after seeing all the blows he took from GGG without going down, do you think Spence can spark him out? My big takeaway from Kell/GGG was Kell's heart and chin are for real. Any notion that Spence is just going to get in there and eat his food seems based on absolutely nothing. This fight is going to be a grind.

I can't help but feel like he's a little undercooked going into this. Across the ocean, in a stadium, against a big, skilled, athletic, tough fighter with heart that has been accused of ducking you for a year shouldn't be the first time you find yourself in deep water in a hard match.
Maybe Spence's people should have lined him up with someone like Collazo before this fight :patrice:

Most people got gassed because he ko'ed Chris Algieri and Bundu...that's pretty much where it is

Bodyshots hurt more. ESJ is a body hunter.

Pat smh from you of all people saying "maybe he needs a windup" we're lucky we even got this fight.

Spence gonna get chin checked, and we'll see what he's made of. But I got him by TKO.

Sorry that was @Don Ibiza Ibrahimovic

Why would he need a Collazo fight first Don?

So his chin gets checked, and potentially to see how he fares going into later rounds against tougher competition. I don’t think he would lose to Collazo, but Collazo would ask some questions of him he’d have to find answers for, like with Thurman.

Going for a title fight abroad with questions like “can he take a punch” and “can he fight a hard twelve rounds” still up in the air isn’t a great look to me. Especially against someone like Kell, who unlike the rest of The Ring it seems, I think is the real deal. I take Kell over Garcia and Thurman. Short of Manny, I think Spence is jumping in at the top of the division.

I do too and I'm somebody who watched him when he struggled with Carson Jones and didn't think he would improve from that so many years ago..the only Welter right now who I think Kell would lose to is Manny

I'd include Timmy in that as well, but that's closer to me. I just can't really see how Kell would deal with Timmy's movement, defense, and awkwardness. But yeah as long as Kell is at 147, he’s looking like that dude to me. Against the Charlo’s and Canelo that’s a different story.

Spence goes in looking for a KO he might get hurt himself and he will definitely lose.
He brings educated pressure behind a jab and works that body, he'll win late by stoppage.

I actually think Kell would punish Timmy..at least this current version of Timmy..that punch resistance is going
