I just found out from my Navy homey, whose wife is Filipina, that the below was posted all over sites in the Phillipines early last week. He sent me the link and I uploaded it on streamable. As I stated in the main boxing thread, I wish I would have known this, I would have bet two Thurmanites for some serious coin.

I just dont subscribe to it. Keith fought his ass off. I thought he was a little cautious in the beginning, just trying to build points and he did a rookie mistake against a pro by pulling out squared up with his hands down. it took him a while to adjust to Manny's speed and during that period he was getting smashed. There there was the body shot..... no amount of rest was going to prevent that. 
also, Manny is more of a frontrunner now anyway. if you really think this was a factor then you pretty much say this is the difference in the fight. maybe. as I said before....everyone does different things. Some fighters play cards late at night, some go to the movies the night before the fight. The difference is, they do stuff in their room or out of easy public view.MasterOfAllHeSurveyz

There have been study after study how lack of sleep and/or irregular sleep patterns have on regular people and athletes. If you check some of my hustle posts, you know I participate in quite a few paid study exercises that pay handsomely. I did one a few years ago focused on irregular sleep patterns. We had to do shyt like clicking points on a screen, pressing keys on a keyboard, stacking cups, etc. They tested our reaction time down to the millisecond. I couldn't match or keep the baseline. Now, if my reaction time was affected for simple shyt like that, what do you think it would do to a fighter who lives in the world of whether a punch lands or misses based on millisecond reactions.
When Adrien Broner is the fukking voice of reason, you know you're fukking up. It's like ignoring a crackhead telling you that it might not be a good idea to fukk with Fentanyl. Keef admitted that according to AB. I guarantee you that what's going through his head on his way back to Florida.

You can look at this both ways. Who the fukk is AB to give advice to somebody who's achieved much more than him?.....you don't know Keith thurmans fight week ritual. Going out and mingling with the people may be his usual routine. Dude is sitting at a table playing poker. who gives a shyt. It's no different than chillin in the pad playin monopoly. Or videogames. Or whatever the fukk. Every fighter has their own routine. They gotta do whatever it takes to calm their nerves. They're the ones fighting. As long as they ain't drinking and smoking, the shyt means nothing.
As far as sleep, MANY top athletes have said they don't sleep at all before a big event. Jerry rice said it was normal for him to stay up 24 hours before a big game. These are pro athletes. They didn't get here by accident. This was Keith thurmans dream fight. If he was out playing poker then he felt it was in his best interest. Keith is a very methodical dude. He's not about to do anything to fukk up the biggest moment of his career. The shyt is ridiculous. I'm not sure what you expect him to be doing....watching fight tape?....strategizing?.....they did all that shyt during training camp. The strategy is done. He knew what he had to do already.
I saw no signs that Keith didn't take this fight serious. He fought his heart out and put on a great performance vs an All time great. Everybody agrees that his stock went up. He got nothing to be ashamed of. The way he fought on Saturday let me know he's gonna come back hungrier than ever. Dude will be a champion again no question.
If I had saw keith gambling at an unidentified time the week before his fight with manny, I wouldn't have bet on him due to (personal anecdote)

If breh was staying up to the point of dozing off he definitely wasn't getting the proper rest he needed that week/no way he was 100% focused in the ring that night. With that said Keith with a mailed in performance still won the fight, against a guy probably loaded on juice 
too look like that days before a fight is really telling. lack of sleep impacts alot of things including mental wellness and reaction time. nicca fukked his career up because he ignored science.
he needs at least a year off with alot of training, counseling for his obvious gambling problem, and maybe he needs to start yoga
