Keith Thurman says the EXACT same thing I said about Floyd/Maidana 1: Floyd played with him

Floyd may have let Maidana fight his fight, but he let it get too far. Because he got much more expected, but still won clean.

Maidana def fought his fight and arguably fought Floyd to a feasible draw..I had it 115-113 Floyd..there wasnt shyt easy about that fight for Floyd lol.

He kept trying that weird looping right. No one ever did that with Floyd consistently...kept him in the fight all night.

Head butts, low blows, kicking, kneeing, tackling, punching behind the head.

This is exactly what you need to do to an older top tier fighter.

There's a reason there was a rematch. Floyd doesn't even give rematches unless he feels there is unfinished business.

If he beats you wide, you aren't getting a rematch, which is why I don't think he would ever rematch Manny. I know the money would be tempting, but it would go against how he's managed his career.

I thought Maidana won that fight, Floyd was hanging on the ropes like a hoe the whole fight.

But that’s what happens when bayless isint the referee

I actually thought he beat Oscar comfortably, which is why he didn't grant the rematch, despite the fact it would have been a big payday. I think he's fully aware he beat Oscar clean, despite the "SD."

Mayweather/Canelo was a MD, but we don't need a scorecard to let us know that was a clear win.

That's not my point. What I'm saying is most fighters would have been disqualified or at least have a point taken. The ref has a job to do and he didn't do it.

But I understand people just want to see Floyd lose at any cause.

I wanted Floyd to win. The guy is my favorite fighter, but you would be foolish to go in there and try to box with that man. That's the type of shyt you gotta do.

by this logic...floyd should have lost his zero by DQ against Zab Judah when Black Mamba entered in the ring while the ref was giving Floyd 5 mins for the low blow

Cool but the ref has a job to do. He didn't do it.

It's not Maidana's job to follow the rules, but it's Weeks' to uphold them.

:yeshrug:......and Zab scored a knockdown.

It's part of the game. Every ref calls a fight differently. You can't rely on these refs. "Protect yourself at all costs."

Disagree
Floyd didnt come to that fight 100 percent mentally focused
Miss jackson aborted his twins, and was spending too much time bickering with nelly and 50 cent. He was also having problems with mayweather promotions

Maidana was awkward and caught him off guard with his style and his lack of respect

No way that Floyd the definition of a safety first, hit and not get hit dude just willingly let an opponent dish out punishment at him for 4-5 rounds. Nah I'm not having that, Maidana was just tough, awkward and dirty and went there motivated af to fight the fight of his life.
Maidana had a strange career where a change of trainer really changed his career too and ushered him into his prime. The Maidana who lost to Alexander and the one who beat Broner and gave Mayweather one of his toughest fights ever are not the same fighters to me.
