And he's trying to fight Frankie Gavin on May 30th instead of a legit opponent. Who else has Brook fought in 34 career fights, besides Shawn Porter and Senchenko?:sas1:

He's had 34 fights and has only faced 2 Champions (current/former) in his entire career:sas1:

His resume leaves ALOT to be desired:sas2:
THAT WHAT TRIPS ME OUT ABOUT YOU NINJAS PICKING KELL OVER TIM! EXPERIENCE SHOULD COUNT BREHS

"Well first off, I want whoever wants to fight around the same time I want to fight. I think that’s going to be my biggest challenge, getting somebody to fight me on my date or the date that I think would be the best to step back in the ring. If the fight is worth it, I’ll wait a little longer to step back into the ring. If it’s worth the opponent, like a Marcos Maidana, Amir Khan or something of that nature, but I would like to fight anybody," Thurman told On The Ropes Boxing Radio .

He can dictate his fight dates now?:stopitslime:

Anyway, I don't think any of those dudes want him, except for Timmy or Porter, though I do think that Kell can beat him, and MAYBE Khan. Berto? NO!

Thurman, although he looked real good most of the guerrero fight, had some holes pop up. He will certainly have to show something against a rough n tumble ninja for me to keep rating him above dudes who can bring the drama inside.

Absolutely true, however, I was impressed with his BOXING, he showed a lot but I need to see him in another tough fight.

I wouldn't mind the Berto fight, if Berto can get another decent win 1st. The Lopez fight was the 1st step into the right direction. Haymon needs to get him on a lil streak so a potential win over Berto means more than it would normally (which isn't too much nowadays, but still)

On what planet is Berto a step forward for Thurman

In essence he's not, especially if it's the Berto coming off the Lopez win. Say Berto beats Cano or a Diego Chaves later this year than that boosts his name up a bit as a potential opponent for guys like Thurman, Porter, Brook, Khan etc....

Right now Berto would just be a name on your resume that can give you a pretty decent action/entertaining fight which I have no problem with. Hell, I was one of the few who felt Guerrero wasn't really a step forward for Thurman. Ghost didn't bring anything to that fight except his fukking face to get punched repeatedly in. :mjlol:

What needs to happen is a defacto playoff for Mayweather's final fight . . this should happen through Brook because he's the IBF title holder. So Thurman vs. Brook consolidates the IBF title with the paper title that Thurman has and then the winner of that will fight Mayweather and that'll unify the entire division.. 4 titles and he'd of completed his Showtime deal. Then he has an open to table to negotiate a large sum for his final fight and with Haymon making in-roads on network television it's likely we could see the 50th Mayweather fight on prime time network television, this could be even bigger than the Pacquiao fight as you'll have the power network television and major sponsors backing it. Think of the Super Bowl . . except for boxing. That's one of the biggest things Mayweather can do for boxing, lend his name to prime time network television
