this is a bad comparison because prodigy loses this by timeline rather easily.
Yet, as i think this over.

I believe the dialogue should be prodigy even in skill relaunch. Consistently made the type of music we know he could make. Plus what we grew to like from him and in different incarnations.
While outside of on the real and the general after illmatic. It is difficult to find a number of nas songs. Where i feel nas is nas.
