TYRONE GA!
I personally find Katt to be funnier than Kev, but I fukks with Kev too. That nikka worked his ass off to be where's he's at.

We really need to cut this bullshyt out of propping up another brother to throw shade at another. Everyone can eat. I don't care for a lot of Tyler Perry's shyt, but that nikka was on his grind and built an empire that portrays and employs US. Which is exactly what we need.

Even though both are comedians, they're both real in the shyt they talk about in their shows and are different. Kev's latest standup was pretty fukking good (last 2 were average, esp Let Me Explain).

Going to see Katt this Saturday in Atlanta too. Hopefully he don't get sick on a nikka like he did last year on stage. :beli:

Both of them cats was funny as hell to me when they first came out. I didn't like Katt in Friday, but I loved his first few comedy specials. I been rocking with Kevin since Paper Soldiers, that was almost 15 years ago so I feel like I grew up with him cuz I knew he was gonna blow. I think the fact that it was damn near 10 year after Paper Soldiers before he REALLY blew up made me root for him even more. But with like most comedians nowadays, you're only funny for about 5 years, even saying that, these two dudes changed the game cuz their arcs paralleled with the arc of social media and they both have an entrepreneurial spirit. It will be interesting to see where they both are in life/career in another 10-20 years

Dave chappelle stepping down opened the lane for him
Kevin Hart was succeeding regardless. Somebody working that hard, with that much ambition, investing in himself, and taking advantage of every opportunity he is given is pretty much always going to succeed, not just in comedy, but in life.

Nobody had to "open a lane" for dude.

Negativity (Kayfabe)
smh

Now, brehs on that "Kevin makes white ppl comfortable" tip :rudy:

It's comedy! If you can make more ppl laugh, you have a larger fanbase, you have more success.

Katt literally was out there trippin' and even bounce for some time.

Mind you, I don't even think Kevin in even on the same level of funny as Katt (smarter, more clever).

I've been watching Pimp Chronicles, American Hustle and Kattolypse (sp) and marvel how dope Katt is. But, his ducks weren't in a row and he didn't have the backing a lot of troubled, talented ppl have to hold him up while going thru.

So, at most; Katt may be a little more successful, but, he may be dead, if he had more powerful ppl on his side.

He wouldve been successful but he wouldnt be the king of black comedy like richard or eddie. He's wouldnt be the go to guy for every award show or nba all star weekend like he is now. I know that and im a big kev fan and been to 4 of his shows.

The comedy game is dry as fukk right now

I swear I can't stand how some people make it seem like Kevin was hand picked by corporate executives to be a star and given his success. That dude grinded hard for years to be in the position he's in. He built his own fan base to the point to where Hollywood had to take him seriously. Most other comedians don't have the drive or ambition to get where he is today.

I give Kevin his props because I saw him when he was nobody relative to where he is now

And his stand up was always funny as hell..

I think he's not as funny now as he was back then but comedy is hard

He hit that Philly, NY, DC, Baltimore circuit hard

Nikka was grinding and elevated his game when he got noticed

It's not easy to take it to the movie level but he found his niche and now he's doing alright

If it were that easy for a black comedian there'd be a lot more of them

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
I think Dame Dash said on his radio show, when asked about what he saw in kevin Hart to want to put him a movie. "He's white people funny". He said something else either about buisness or knowing how to sell movies but, I can't remember it exactly.

But too me this is it. Kevin has more or comedic style that lends itself to a white audience, and like others have said his image is more clean cut.

I can't front Kevin Hart never been funny to me and Kat shyts on him:yeshrug:

But you can't take away his work ethic :manny:

there was a time.... and it still goes on....

where black comics were literally on some............ black people do this, but white people do that

i never hear kevin hart make these jokes... if he does, it's extremely rare.. like once or twice a movie/show..

but damn there was a period in 00s where it was constant white/black jokes.. couldn't even watch comic view cause every single comic had the same act... so i can def see why dame would say he's white people funny.. he don't cater his act towards just black people... katt williams definitely did
