Keanu Reeves was fukking awful in Cappola's Dracula

Keanu Reeves is awful in everything. This isn't news.

The only movie where he gave a real genuine performance was Bill & Ted.

I don't see in Keanu Reeves in that movie, I see Ted.

Every other movie he's embarrassing.

And I love a lot of the movies he's been in... but he's embarrassing.

He was great in the matrix, specifically because the character called for an emotionless cyberpunk protagonist. He was also decent in Speed and a couple of other joints. Book on Keanu is that he has incredible charisma and star power, but the role call for any sort of serious acting range.

Movie was trash anyway but holy hell Keanu is a JOKE in that movie. I'm serious watch that movie and tell me how this man consistently gets work as a professional actor.

You could tell Pacino was just like behind closed doors for having to share the screen with him.

theres a scene in that movie where he's talking to charlize and he goes "BAY-BAY!!" ..my girl and i been saying it ever since..it was so cringeworthy

Coppola has said that he hired Reeves because his production company was almost bankrupt so the movie needed "a bankable star popular with the young crowd". Reeves was just coming of Point Break, Bill & Ted and My Own Private Idaho and the rest is a historic example of how one poorly casted lead actor can ruin an entire movie on his own.

Coppola wanted Johnny Depp but the studio said no because he wasn't a big enough star.

I still really like this movie. Just peeped the 4k remaster bluray and the special features. The art direction was fantastic.

yeah he was bad, but the movie wasnt exactly great in most of the parts without him. the opening really is the only memorable part.
