Yea and these guys are running with a terrible argument. A coach's decision to try and stop the more stoppable player is a legit strategy. Throwing 2 dudes at durant isn't a viable option on that team, he just shoot over your, however teams have shown you can fluster Curry as a scorer and make the others guy beat you.
Doesn't matter what the teams goal was, in fact that's a bs argument...kd outplayed steph period, on both sides of the ball, hit the clutch shots, was more efficient, played elite defense, the end. "But but the team was focused on Steph...." throw that argument in the garbage that has never been a thing.
The whole point is that KD got finals MVP because the defense literally put their attention on Curry... freeing things up for Durant to get 1v1 isos against mediocre defenders and sometimes flat out open looks.
