I thought Kawhi was being careful with his body but that nikka clearly quit on the Spurs. He got the wrong people around him, it's a shame.

If I'm the Spurs, I send him to Memphis for Parsons plus the 4th pick and rebuild. They're going to have 60M in cap room in 2~3 years.

Spurs have $58M committed to Aldridge, Gasol, Mills, Murray, and White assuming the latter two rookie options are picked up.

Salary cap is rumored to go to $108M.

So, assuming Kawhi just walks in 2019, Spurs will have flexibility cap wise. Even more so if Gasol/Mills are moved.

Why would Memphis trade for a player who’ll leave in a year? :mindblown: Do y’all even think?

If they trade Kawhi for young players and picks cap space won't matter for the next two years anyway as LMA and Pau cycle out...

Even if they get some high picks and a good young player or 2 they need to be bad and in the lottery for two more years...I would hope the goal is to get 5 to 7 young players with good upside and you just let them play and see who pans out and who doesn't...

I really just need Pop to NOT go on some gawd tier coaching mode shyt and have team comprised of LMA, Pau, Mills, and a bunch of dudes barely old enough to buy liquor to make the 6th through 8th seed and be cannon fodder and get the number 18 pick again instead of getting the number 6 pick...:francis:

I'm still salty at the fact that if we had just traded LMA...with kawhi missing basically the whole season...we would have been one of the worst teams in the nba and had a great chance at getting either ayton bamba or bagley without needing to do a trade...in that case i absolutely trade kawhi to memphis for a young guy and that number 4 pick and parsons and perhaps now i am a world where i can draft 2 of the 3 big men or scare teams into thinking i am taking Luka and then trade back for a ton of picks for someone who wants to trade up for him...

But LMA wanted to work it out and shyt and stay and shyt and ball out and shyt and fukk it all up...and shyt :mjcry:

fukk this nikka LMA man :mjcry:...even when he playing well he fukking this franchise over :mjcry:

Because they want to "compete" with Gasol and Conley there, they could use one year of Kawhi and have 25M to spend a year later. If they get stuck with that Parsons contract until Gasol hits FA, then there's no point. They don't care about long term, it has been clear as day for a while now.

I doubt LMA is going to show up to trainning camp without Kawhi on the team, he just had an all-star season. I wonder if the Wizards wouldn't trade Otto for him and a late first/early second pick :jbhmm:

Wall - Beal - Morris - LMA - "whoever" is a contender lineup in the east, but I don't know how much they value Otto, I only know his contract is

nah you GTFOH.....thats his family and he hasn't done anything to set back Kawhi's career.......his uncle has helped him stay financially straight, and at the end of the day Kawhi is gonna end up for the team he wants, with more endorsement opportunities than he has in San Antonio.

Y'all just wanna hate because Kawhi isn't operating the way YALL want him to, and he's getting money with his fam instead of letting only cacs get a piece :umad:

One has nothing to do with the other:stopitslime:

He might have kept him financially straight, but he has set his career back...:ld:

Kawhi's group is above their heads as far as this situation goes

Only reason folks in here gonna keep tryna rehash this garbage argument is either they hopeful Kawhi hops on their squad, or they just been anti-Spurs for years and they enjoying that SA’s finally involved in some lockeroom fukkery.

Otherwise they just on some dumb shyt Coli cliche nonsense.

So mute think he'll go to a bigger market WITH state taxes and makeup what he's losing with the supermax in Texas with no state taxes? Dude think he'll make Curry/Lebron money to negate what he'll be losing....let alone Harden/Kyrie endorsement money.:what:

Bum faked an injury....I don't even like the Spurs, but let this hoe go to LA and let GS finish him off. :pacspit::pacspit::pacspit:
