Spurs gave Kawhi the okay to handle his own rehab in August of last year.

Spurs were sitting Kawhi every other game to limit reinjury. And only playing him about 25 mins or so.

Kawhi told the Spurs MULTIPLE TIMES that he was returning between January and March of this year and never did. This is what led to the team meeting asking what the deal is.

Popovich and the Spurs didn’t know anything about the rehab process. Kawhi’s team kept the Spurs completely in the dark.

When the Spurs medical staff traveled to New York to try and meet with Kawhi and gain information on the progress, Kawhi’s team hid him away in another part of the building.

After the Spurs team photo this spring Kawhi didn’t even stay around for the team shoot around. He left immediately and hasn’t been seen again.

And I haven’t even gone into all the shady things happening with his Uncle and the Impact Sports agency, or his family being on the payroll for 5 years without his own (ex) agent’s knowledge.

This is one huge ugly situation.
And frankly it’s 100% Kawhi’s fault.

I dont think that part was made up. San antonio express news writers mentioned it in the podcast. I think the bigger deal about it is that the ex agent lost commission because the money sas going to kawhis family

Brian Elfus had been the agent of Kawhi partnered to Frank Mitchell of Impact Sports. Elfus alleges an agreement between him and Frankell required the consultation of large expenses to be had between both parties but that was not done for the payroll expense of Kawhi's family. This is among other suspicious expenses involving other clients like $340,000 paid to Will Barton for e.g. Elfus alleges that Impact Sports also took the stance of saying that Kawhi had not passed on commission funds to Impact Sports so he was in turn not paid when in fact Kawhi had done so, hence his dispute with the company now and Kawhi's recent court appearance in Miami.
