So back when he played those 9 games and then was out again...the story was the spurs forced him to come back and play...but we now know kawhi had his own doctors since june...before the season started...and those doctors are the ones who told the spurs he was ready to play...so the spurs just ate that bad perception of them..that they forced their star player to come back even though he said he was hurt...and it wasn't until woj report in mid june that we actually found out the truth...

Also funny thing is that Kawhi nor his team have every come right out and said that the spurs misdiagnosed an injury...i wonder why...

Well if this is really because the Spurs won’t offer Kawhi the max, well that’s an entirely different narrative.

Because everyone is acting like it’s Kawhi wanting out.

You are offering the possibility that maybe the Spurs aren’t so enamored with him to begin with.

Don't think it is about enamored...it's a bout logical business and what they really know about his health...

Dude played 9 games last year...over an injury is still a mystery...and now wants 219 million dollars...

That is just bad business...you don't pay someone the most amount of money they can possibly make doing a job...when they actually are only available to do the job 10% of the time for that year...

Also I have always been in the camp of dude actually having a chronic or degenerative quad issue...and giving someone with that type of issue the most money you can is a no no...see amare...see parsons...

I mean...the pelicans can offer boogie a max contract if they wanted to...but he is coming off an achilles injury...so do you think they will? Do you think they should?

IT didn't play most of the year...who is offering him a 5 year max in the off season...
