For you nba conspiracy theorists...

Do you think the league wants to see Lebron and Kawhi in LA? Or do you think they are quietly pushing against it?

I mean we are potentially looking at the best 4 players in the game on 2 teams.

The league would love it if you ask me. Straight up box office and ratings galore. I'm actually thinking they're advocating it. I low key also wonder about the "Kawhi prefers the Lakers and the Clippers as his 2nd choice" narrative:patrice: Yes the Lakers are LA's beloved franchise no doubt about it but its 2018. The big star free agent "prefers the Lakers" sounds media and league driven too me. I know the league eats when the Lakers are good but it feels off to me- its like they owe them a solid and they desperately want them back in the mix. :jbhmm:

I think Boston wins the championship with Kyrie, Kawhi, Tatum, Hayward, Horford + whatever they have left, assuming they can actually stay healthy.

Swap Simmons or Fultz for Kawhi, and Philly is probably Finals bound, although they probably wouldn't be disciplined enough to win it all. And they have their own question marks with injuries.

If Kawhi were willing to commit to either of those teams, both franchises would have to go hard for it, and the NBA would win big. You would get a championship team in a popular city, and still have Lebron out there looking to form one more last hurrah contending team of his own.

Right now they do. Lakers would like to have an agreement in place with Kawhi before the 1st to lure Lebron. Spurs can kick back and feast of LA's desperation. The pressure is on LA to get something done.

But if LA doesn't get it done....what do the Spurs do? They'd be at the Celtics' mercy.
