He’s not a slaveHe signed a contract to play for the Spurs.
Honor the contract.
This goes both ways.
He has the right to leave. It’s mad how the spurs management is behaving

This is a different nba now.. ain’t nobody say they were gonna be the suns(even tho the suns have a brighter looking future tbh) but what does we’ll be okay mean.. missing the playoffs is not being “okay” lol how much longer you think pop gonna be there? Why do I think the Spurs will be ok?
Because Popovich is a great coach, RC Buford is a good GM, and this team with a ragged and injured bench managed 47 wins without Kawhi. There’s a culture with the Spurs that emphasizes teamwork and winning.
So why should I think they’re suddenly going to turn into the Phoenix Suns?
There’s ebb and flow in this league. Could the Spurs miss the playoffs for a year or two? Sure.
Do I think that’s an apocalyptic scenario? Absolutely not.
Why should I and other Spurs fans be bothered by the trolling of a Lakers fan base who just saw their team literally produce the 4 worst seasons in franchise history — in a row?
They’re not in any position to talk about what is over.
You don’t get to claim we were a mirage for 21 years and then finally when there’s a crack in the armor, claim “See, I told you”
I agree. He does have the right to leave. When his contract is up.He’s not a slave

You asked me this and I already answered it.This is a different nba now.. ain’t nobody say they were gonna be the suns(even tho the suns have a brighter looking future tbh) but what does we’ll be okay mean.. missing the playoffs is not being “okay” lol how much longer you think pop gonna be there?
Imma spurs fan but their own ways did them in if Kawhi doesn’t stay
BRON , PG and KAWHI are going to LA
Can the lakers realistically make this happen?
They would almost certainly have to find a taker for Deng’s contract and Ingram/Kuzma/Randle (almost certainly 2 of the 3) would have to go elsewhere. Can the lakers realistically make this happen?
Lol that’s I figured .. good luck buddyYou asked me this and I already answered it.
I can't imagine being so pissed off at someone that I would give up 80MKawhi hates the Spurs
He doesnt even care about the extra $80 million
He told pop straight up he wants out. That’s as gangsta as it gets. Why would he go to the media when he can say it to the dude who won’t let him go like a scorned bytch ?I agree. He does have the right to leave. When his contract is up.
And I don’t have a problem with Kawhi wanting to go to LA. He’s from LA. He lives in Cali. More power to him if his dream is to be in a Lakers uniform.
But he should come right out and say it.
And he shouldn’t quit on his team. Though to be clear, I don’t know that he did. But it sure looks that way.
July 1st is on Sunday. And at that point the Spurs will offer him the max. And Kawhi will turn it down. And that will be his way of saying “I want out” without actually having the balls of saying it out loud like a man.
I’m a big fan of Kawhi as a player. And in general of the way he carries himself. But I don’t like the way this situation is going down.
