I always though that was the perfect move especially with their owner...But I guess it was some type of agreement where he couldn't move them...I mean they share a damn stadium and are an after thought even though over about the past decade they have been more successful.

It’s pretty hard to find a compelling reason to leave a market as big as LA even in the clippers case. It’s not as if they have no fans they’ve got their own little niche but to compare them to a global brand like the Lakers is tough.

I think Seattle, Vegas, or San Diego would be great for them though. Just have your own soil to start anew with none of the bad vibes of the past.

Yeah, although he’s just in a consulting position with them and he’s much too old to lead the charge like he did in LA. Logo isn’t a cheat code, in his time in Memphis he could only make them playoff contenders and nothing more. And his Lakers success was also thanks to having a smart innovative team owner in Jerry Buss.

His help with the Warriors was big tho. And his presence and the perceived stability of the clippers front office is definitely an optics advantage over the Lakers who have only just now gotten their act together.
