Facts don't matter anymore. These reporters will say anything to make it seem their 'sources' are correct.

They had a report saying Kawhi was a lifelong Laker fan and grew up idolizing Magic Johnson :gucci:

This morning Broussard said Kawhi was 90% going to the Lakers and said Kawhi was a Kobe fan :gucci:

Skip: "I thought he was an MJ fan?"
Broussard: "I imagine he was a Kobe fan growing up a Laker fan" :mjtf:

lol come on, this is the type of hot take I'd expect from some angry sports radio host in Pittsburgh. Kawhi isn't missing out on any deals because of this. His star is bigger than its ever been. The memes and "board man" story finally cracked the code on how he can be marketed. I'm sure there are people chomping at the bits with pitches for him, for a variety of products New Balance has to be beyond thrilled at how everything has played out.

A month from now nobody will care about the process. He'll be in Toronto or another team and life will go on. And when the season starts we'll begin seeing the various concepts and ideas that were created to sell him.
