Am I the only noticing we aren't showing out the same for the Kawhi/PG trade (it's really both) vs the Davis trade? They don't control their picks for longer than the Lakers, and if AD is injury prone what does that make PG and Kawhi? 2018 offseason PG had surgery on his knee, 2019 offseason had surgery on both shoulders. Nobody that knows Kawhi's injury is saying anything besides its deteriorative and he'll need load management the rest of his career. So he won't play more than 60-65 regular season games again and even with load management look how he walked around after the Finals.

If you don't do it he goes to the Lakers and you open a new arena being irrelevant so I see it. But at least if shyt goes south Lakers could reload around Davis with LeBron gone in 2 years, Clippers are locked in. Five Clippers owned 1sts were traded, what's Kawhi going to look like the next 5-7 years?

Yeah they are similar gambles for sure. The only diff is that the clippers still have a decent bench right now vs the lakers who are on track to start alex caruso.

True. But when you look at the Lakers books, 2021 they only have one salary besides AD it's a player option for LeBron. If him wanting to play with his kid is true then take his 40 mil off and you got beaucoup money. I know it'll be funny to laugh at the Lakers for the next few weeks because a mute and his uncle played them but we need to get back to reality at some point. It's still LA, they're getting players especially with Davis there.

Bev turns 31 in a few days and just got paid, Lou Will turns 33 this year, Trez is a free agent next year, and how likely is it Kawhi's body holds up the length of the contract. Which means Paul George is your most reliable option and he's Paul George, whenever he goes right everything was really left. Just ask OKC's playoff runs or the abortion he tried to have.

At least the Lakers should have prime AD under contract in 2024, it looks spooky for the Clippers past 2022 tbh.

I blame him for 2009 too. We could’ve beaten the Magic even without KG, but Doc refused to make adjustments. He’s an idiot. Had the Big 3 not won the title in 08, he wouldn’t have a job right now. People forget his track record before that era. Now all of sudden he’s a hall of fame caliber coach. FOH
Doc has improved as a coach since the Celtics era imo

George not switching to become the primary defender on those guys to slow them down is the point you slack jawed fakkit. What's the point of being hyped as a "lock down" defender if when your team is being dominated by two guards 6'4 and under, you don't switch on them to at least slow them down?

George guarded both guards plenty during that 1-4 ass whipping too, so save that dumb shyt about not watching the games. All that "lockdown defender" shyt and dude wasn't a factor defensively in the series.
He got both his shoulders operated on right after the game

fukkin dumb ass homotional bron stans mad no one wants to play with him :mjlol:

The hell wrong with Masai?

:mjtf:

You don’t trade for PG and Russ because of Pascal Siakam and a bunch of garbage picks ?

This dude stupid

:yeshrug:

i dont think it was Masai decision.... Westbrook has like 170 million dollar contract over the next 4 years
so, with that PG & giving Kawhi the supermax - TOR ownership would be paying skyrocket fees for the luxury tax

We're giving up 3 first rounders ourselves and two Miami first rounders that we acquired in trades. We still have our 2021 and 2023 first rounders. Our bench is deep as shyt and still have the development of youth in Landry Shamet, Montrezl Harrell, Jerome Robinson, M. Kenbengele, Zubac, etc. Only big loss was SGA which sucked. If you guys waited one year and added AD in free agency you would still have Ingram, Ball, and Hart. We acquired PG and Kawhi and held on to our bench and youth minus SGA. You guys gutted your bench and youth for AD.

I'm guessing you think I'm a Laker fan because only they can critical about the team off some petty shyt or something? I don't give a shyt about the west, we have our own issues mainly an achilles to tend to. But we're not going to act like this isn't the bigger gamble.

And you gave up a total of 7 picks

Unprotected 22, 24, 26
Miami unprotected 21, 1-14 protected 23
Pick swaps 23, 25

Reports: Paul George traded to Clippers | NBA.com

The next 3 years are traded away for the next 7, chances are you win big in those three so maybe it's worth it. I'm only judging it off what was given up and what can be built going forward.

Its definitely a huge gamble and we gave up way too much so no arguments there from. Hopefully we make deep playoff runs from here on out. Still happy we kept our bench and youth while acquiring two stars. I know it was a packaged deal to get Durant but man I wish ya'll would've kept DLo. Loved that chemistry ya'll had last season.

He was definitely a fan favorite but I'd rather be where we are even with injury issues, same as y'all

Scared money don't make money so maybe the big cities "b teams" can meet up for a title one day
