Lebron was the last player to care about total points scored, for anyone after it's only average that matters. Mfs like Kyrie only playing when they are fresh as fukk, when everything is perfect, when they got their 9 hours of sleep and averaging 27 points, acting like it's the same as going to war for 75 games with broken fingers and shyt and averaging 27 points :aicmon:
They had shyt to fight for for real

I don’t think Jordan was a better dribbler, his handles were actually pretty basic (more so a product of his era than an indictment on him) but his ability to stop on a dime is what made his bythenumbers crossover and behind the back dribble so effective. However, he had much more elevation and agility than Kawhi. Same with Kobe.

KL may actually be the most technically skilled Jordan clone (or right behind Kobe) as far as footwork, handles, post game nuances, etc., and perhaps the best pure shooter of them, but his Achilles heel is he’s only an above average/ “good” athlete. Not otherworldly. So it’s not the same flare as Mike, Kobe, or even Ant Edwards attacking the rim or fading away over defenders.
Jordan had better handles than Kawhi. He wasn't Kyrie or Isiah Thomas, but Jordan got to where he needed too off the dribble better and could set up his scoring.

Kobe, with smaller hands, was a better dribbler than Jordan, IMO. But Kawhi isn't better than Jordan at it.

I agree Kawhi's greatest failing is he was not an elite athlete.

THe only think Kawhi has on most of the great athletic wings is he has an all time jumper.

I hear ya and mostly agree. My only pushback is that, for example, I consider Kawhi to have better handles than Paul George; and some might say that’s preposterous bc PG’s ish looks cooler with the hesi double crosses etc, but ultimately KL gets to his spot everytime with his handles with no turnovers, whereas PG struggles to.

MJ got to his spots everytime too tho, to me, how much of that was better handles vs the nygga simply having GOAT tier first step/change of direction and knowing he can bunny hop elevate against anyone?

Kawhi is stronger than PG13, which helps his dribble if that makes sense.

And I think having that speed and agility while not losing the ball shows how good Jordan’s handles were.

7,000 more points to hit 20k isn't out of the question
Maybe not, but it's also unlikely. At his pace he'd have to play another 7-8 years.
Better finisher too. We only have the data for 1996-97 and 97-98, but MJ shot 53% and 62% at the rim his last 2 years with the bulls. Leonard is consistently over 70% in recent years. Shame the league didn’t track that sort of thing until that recently. Would’ve been nice to have given that so few people valued the 3 back then :martin:
Prime Jordan was finishing around 70% at the rim on much higher volume.

I would assume he shot in that range around his peak, but we don’t have the data until 96-97 :manny:. All we have is his overall percentage on 2’s and 3’s without any details as to distance or locations on the floor.

Someone did a film study and basically compiled his at the rim percentage manually. @Rhakim brought this up a while ago so he'd be more likely to know where that source is.

There was also a deduction (based on overall FG%) that early 90s Jordan was a low 40s midrange shooter (which was still relatively good) but the 2nd peat is when he truly had the jumper that gets attributed to him.

Jokic, Embytch, Giannis, Crybaby Luka. You got him next over KD, AD, LeBron, Shai?
iv watched KW cook Giannis, Luka, and Embiid in the Playoffs when its really mattered.

I truly believe if KW didn't get hurt last year they send the suns home.

But the more I think about it, the more I realize it's hard to put him above other guys because of his health.
