Kanye was already off, but his mom was able to put him in his place, but with love. He always had these grandiose ideas of wanting to be a megastar/icon, but there was always someone to put him in his place, from telling him to stick to making beats when he wanted to rap, sticking to rap when he wanted to get into fashion, etc. Pretty sure they put him in his place after the Bush incident. That infamous video of him holding that plate for the old cac, I bet that was just the tip of the iceberg of humiliation rituals he had to go through. In that latest interview he did, he admitted that he does the opposite of what people tell him to do.
