In the real world, we just let the few thousand viewers watch and laugh at their lame late-night show hosts and their 'comedy', because that shyt isn't important in any way. It's rarely even worth a discussion (unless it's some really funny shyt). nah believe it or not after someone made the generic "I guess nothing is happening in Syria" joke the thread became a very intelligent discussion of the US involvement in the Middle East as well as our endlessly deadlocked Congress's inaction, a lot of great ideas were presented as to how to how we can get involved in solving these problems

about this...i mean...Kimmel did the skit...and pretty much nobody gave a fukk...matter fact...most people found out about this because Kanye went on his rant...and then they had to say "what the fukk is Kanye even talking about " and then had to go back and find the damn skit...KANYE fukkING BROUGHT ALL THIS ON HIMSELF BY DRAWING ATTENTION TO SOMETHING NOBODY FOUND FUNNY OR NEWSWORTHY IN THE FIRST PLACE ...It would be different if Kimmel did the skit, and everyone was like

funny thing is, live TV audiences are coached to laugh at everything that happens. They laugh no matter how bad or corny the joke is.
The real funny thing is, that segment didn't even get that many laughs. Watch it again. Listen to the crowd during the segment with the kid. It gets a struggle laugh at the end, but that's about it.
