Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign‘s long-delayedVultures 2 is finally here, and it seems like it’s had a good first week of sales — though not good enough to net West a 12th number one album.
According to Chart Data, the duo’s new release is projected to move around 68,000 album-equivalent units in the U.S. in its debut week. That would put it at number two on the Billboard 200 chart, behind Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department.
This means that Ye may miss out on hitting the top of the chart in his release week, something that has happened only twice before in his entire career.
Both his 2004 debut The College Dropout and his 2018 Kid Cudi collaboration Kids See Ghostsentered the album chart at number two.
Now that Vultures 2 is here, West and Ty will be taking their ‘Vultures Listening Experience’ show on the road — specifically, to Korea.
