True but other rap legends made it to old age and never went out like this.

Nas, Cube, LL, Rakim all in their 50s and they live comfortably with some stumbles along the way but still elder rap statesmen. I don't care how fire the music was in the past, this was Kanye even then. The less relevant he became, the more he resorted to antics that had nothing to do with music. He bamboozled us all. Once Kanye became a rapper, it was over. He was given a pass for EVERYTHING including being wack on the mic, biting, having writers, etc. He begged for white acceptance even as far back as his debut not winning an American Music Award. I don't recall any Hip Hop artist crying over losing an American Music Award. He cried when he got 3 stars for College Dropout in Rollingstone. I don't recall rappers ever caring what they thought. Suddenly Metacritic became a thing. Kanye went from dope producer to being catapulted to creative genius of the 21st Century.
