first, Drake don’t run shyt at universal :mjlol:

second, ain’t a chance in hell any universal execs have copies of unreleased Ye tracks of this magnitude just sitting around. This man is notorious for not turning in tracks/records until the very last minute when something is released. Especially with this one you can tell is unfinished from the end of his verse. No damn body at Universal is just sitting around with a copy of this on their PC. Use some common sense here :gucci:

the Biggest dawg at the Label with the unlimited budget can pull some strings. It’s like when Em/50/Dre were running Interscope back then.

I mean we know he didn’t write it at all so it’s senseless to even say this at this point. Push prolly wrote it honestly.
Push definitely wrote the first half of the song before the flow goes to shyt

I just don’t understand Kanye’s thought process of dissing Drake on a song where him and Andre are talking about grieving the losses of their mothers. It would be like if 2Pac had put some lines from “Hit ‘Em Up” on “Dear Mama”.

if we assume this is real and not a PR stunt..

Ye is notorious for having multiple versions of songs laying around. He played Life of the Party at his Vegas listening party and it was completely different from this song. He may have multiple versions of it and this one never intended to be released. Who knows

WRONG

Drake with the absolute chess move.

Imagine being Kanye and punching the air finding out Andre wasn't trying to diss Drake in a tribute TO HIS MOTHER :stopitslime:

there’s a difference between “pull some strings” and “runs the label”

it’s irrelevant because there’s no way a universal exec just had this song laying around. It’s a fantasy land theory

I can only assume he wanted to piss Kanye off by leaking it knowing Dre wouldn’t be happy with him being on song involving drake diss without prior consent. As we can sort of see from Dre’s statement or it’s so Drake now has chance to pull the Kim card if true and he wants to

that’s the only logic I can see
and it worked

Kanye gotta be punching the air right now.

He could have been went in on Kim and he hasn't, he doesn't need to leak this song as ammo. I can't see why Dre would be upset, it's an unreleased song with multiple versions.

One of y'all smart brehs help me understand why this wouldn't be on the album :jbhmm:

And what's up w these epic Andre verses not making the album? Is Andre putting the stop to it? :jbhmm:

TLDR: Ye told 3000 to record a verse without him knowing he would only make a clean album version of Donda available to the public. 3000 didn't know it was going to be clean only before he wrote the song and told Ye to take it out.

ATL - Cleveland Ave.
I’m still trying to wrap my head around this situation. :jbhmm:

I said earlier something about it feels so orchestrated. Like how would Drake even get a copy of this song? How many ppl in Ye’s circle would have access to this track and who among them would risk fumbling their bag by leaking it to drake? That part to me feels like this is all a big PR stunt.

But if it’s a PR stunt… it makes no sense why Drake would take all the attention off CLB and give it back to Ye. He basically played himself :mjtf:

This is either the worst PR move of all time or the worst attempt at a chess move of all time.. can’t figure out which
Maybe this is all a setup for an eventual Ye/Drake WTT-esque album.
