NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Issues on compensation or execution?
Apparently Ye was supposed to have him featured as well. Prolly a healthy compromise for letting him use his song. But Ye didn’t do that obviously and got hella praise off that song. People till this day don’t know that’s Rhymefests song. Lol. Atleast with the feature his name would still be publicly attached.

"After twenty years in, I'm so naive I was under the im—
'Pression that everyone wrote they own verses
It's comin' back different and, yeah, that shyt hurts me
I'm hummin' and whistlin' to those not deserving
I've stumbled and lived every word, was I working just way too hard?"
How is that specifically directed at Drake? When everyone in the industry knows in any genre of music there are ghost writers? Diane Warren is the biggest and goat ghost writer known.. Broad ain’t ever single one song :mjlol:

Like I said. Rhymefest had issues with Ye behind that song. Lol
And he worked with him for years after that song dropped, so what point is being made here?

Obviously whatever issues he had didn't end their working relationship.

I’m saying that regardless they had an issue behind the song it didn’t go smoothly because Fest felt a way about the moves being made. Of course they went on and patched shyt up and continued to work but that still doesn’t disregard what I said.

Andre’s verse is absolutely incredible. And this is the best Kanye has sounded in years. But the Drake diss is so out of place, it almost ruins what could’ve been a beautiful song all the way through.

Andre didn't even want the diss released :wow:

and Drake got ahead of them :whoo:

Told you.

CHECKMATE.

UPDATE: Following Drake’s leak of Kanye West’s “Life of the Party,” Andre 3000 issued the following statement regarding his role on what became a diss track: “A few weeks ago Kanye reached out about me being a part of the Donda album. I was inspired by his idea to make a musical tribute to his mom. It felt appropriate to me to support the Donda concept by referencing my own mother, who passed away in 2013. We both share that loss. I thought it was a beautiful choice to make a clean album but, unfortunately, I didn’t know that was the plan before I wrote and recorded my verse. It was clear to me that an edited ‘clean’ format of the verse would not work without having the raw, original also available. So, sadly, I had to be omitted from the original album release.

The track I received and wrote to didn’t have the diss verse on it and we were hoping to make a more focused offering for the Donda album but I guess things happen like they are supposed to. It’s unfortunate that it was released in this way and two artists that I love are going back and forth. I wanted to be on Certified Lover Boy too. I just want to work with people that inspire me. Hopefully I can work with Kendrick on his album. I’d love to work with Lil’ Baby, Tyler and Jay-Z. I respect them all.”

Even ANDRE 3000 had to admit Drake swiped this shyt

:wow:

He is like one of those artists that go off the rails later in their lives... they have all the ability to do everything people want to hear and that sounds good but that shyt is boring to them, they completely lost in their creativity and egos and overthink... Kanye i think could drop a soulful album easily if he wanted to, it just bores him and he doesnt have the focus... its frustrating as you said
my sentiments exactly. shyt is so frustrating:snoop:
